Homestuck Controversy
If you've heard of Homestuck, you've probably heard of it's contreversies. Althought most of these controversies are usually about the fandom and not the comic itself, it may have turned you off for the series. Most of the controversies are fair i'm not defending anybody here, but don't let the controversies turn you off for the comic! It's a good comic, no matter your opinion on Hussie or the fandom.
Slurs
Slurs have been a big subject, theres was a video by Funk Mclovin that I think explains it really well, check it out here. If any of the slurs trigger you, but you'd still like to read Homestuck, *cough* and you listened to my advice of using the Unofficial Homestuck Collection *cough*, theres a mod for it which removes all slurs in the mod repository.
Fandom
The fandom, I will say, a lot of the fandom are still cool! But, the younger peeps tend to,,,i'd say be obnoxious, but that's understating it. One was the body paint not being sealed when dressing as trolls, and leaving paint everywhere,,,and then theres the bucket incident...
